The operating system
for Bahamian
service businesses.

Most founders are running their business on WhatsApp, a spreadsheet, and memory. Cova builds the infrastructure underneath — intake, lifecycle, payments, and analytics — so the business runs whether or not you're in the room.

The Problem

You have clients.
You don't have a system.

Most Bahamian service businesses are run entirely inside the founder's head. That's not a character flaw — it's an infrastructure gap.

Before Cova

The business runs on you.

  • Bookings tracked in WhatsApp — every message answered manually The hidden cost: 10–12 hrs/week of founder time spent on messages the system handles in seconds.
  • Payments across three different apps, none talking to each other
  • Client history lives in your head — no record when you need it
  • No-shows happen and leave no trace — same client, same problem, next month The hidden cost: 3 no-shows/week at $100 BSD average = $300–$600 BSD walking out the door every month. No record means no pattern. No pattern means no fix.
  • Revenue feels good until you actually look — then it's unclear
  • Every week looks busy. Every month the numbers don't match the feeling.
After Cova

The business runs itself.

  • Booking enquiry comes in — system extracts details, confirms, requests deposit, sets reminder
  • Client pays through the same channel they booked — no chasing
  • Every client has a record from day one. History visible, not remembered.
  • No-show gets logged, flagged, and counted — patterns surface automatically
  • Power BI dashboard shows weekly revenue, occupancy rate, and peak demand — no spreadsheet
  • You do the work. The system does everything around the work.

The Diagnostic

A structured discovery conversation — 30 to 60 minutes. We map every workflow, every gap, every place the business is held together by the founder instead of a system. Written findings delivered within 3 days.

Free — no commitment required
⏱ Findings delivered in 3 days
Phase 02

The Build

Priced against the value delivered and the risk eliminated — not hours billed. We build the exact system the diagnostic identified. You see what's being built and why before a line is written.

What We Build

Two types of infrastructure.
One methodology.

Cova operates across two distinct markets. The same governance, the same three-phase structure, the same standard — applied to both.

MSME Stack

Operational infrastructure for Caribbean founders

For service-based founders — salons, fitness studios, personal trainers, consultants, agents — who have clients but not systems. We build the intake, lifecycle, payments, and analytics layer that converts founder bottlenecks into something the business owns.

  • WhatsApp booking agent — unstructured message to structured record
  • Automated deposit request and confirmation
  • Client lifecycle tracking from first contact to billing
  • Power BI dashboard — revenue, occupancy, no-show rate
  • No-show pattern flagging
Best for: beauty salons, fitness studios, personal trainers, independent consultants, real estate agents, wellness providers — any service business where the founder is the system.
Institutional AI Stack

Sovereign AI compliance infrastructure for Caribbean banks

For financial institutions under FATF evaluation pressure — compliance teams spending 10+ hours a week on manual document retrieval. We build AI-powered systems that run entirely on the institution's own hardware. No external API call. No cloud transmission. Legally deployable in a regulated Caribbean market.

  • Central Bank circulars indexed and queryable in natural language
  • 40+ hours per week recovered per compliance team
  • Runs on institution hardware — data never leaves the building
  • FATF-ready architecture, audit-defensible by design
  • Power BI compliance dashboard
Best for: commercial banks, credit unions, insurance companies, and regulated financial institutions operating in FATF-evaluated Caribbean jurisdictions.

The standard
Three phases. Every engagement. A written diagnostic before anything is built. You see what is being proposed, why, and what tradeoff is accepted — before a single decision is made.
Nicolas Astwood
Nicolas Astwood
Director, Cova Systems Limited

Most Caribbean businesses reach the digital economy through the front door. Nicolas Astwood builds what goes underneath.

He is the Director of Cova Systems Limited — the operational infrastructure layer built for Bahamian and Caribbean service businesses that have clients but no systems beneath them. The gap is structural: founders have market presence, active client bases, and everything running on WhatsApp, memory, and relationships that don't scale. Cova replaces that with unified client intake, lifecycle tracking, payment-integrated booking, and business intelligence dashboards that give founders real-time clarity over their own operations. Infrastructure the business owns — not the founder carries.

The work sits at the intersection of business intelligence, workflow automation, and systems architecture. Three phases. Every engagement. A written diagnostic before anything is built. Bahamian-built. Caribbean-scaled. The standard is applied rigour, not aspiration.

Common Questions

Before you book.
Answers first.

The questions most founders have before the first conversation.

Is the diagnostic actually free?
Yes. No deposit, no contract, no obligation. The diagnostic is a 30–60 minute structured conversation where we map your operation and identify every gap. You leave with written findings in 3 days regardless of what you decide next.
How long does the build take?
Phase 2 is typically 10–14 days from signed agreement and first instalment. The diagnostic determines the exact scope, so you know the timeline before anything starts. We've never delivered without giving you a clear date first.
Will I need to learn new software?
No. Everything surfaces through tools you already use — WhatsApp, email, and a Power BI dashboard we configure and hand you. If your team uses WhatsApp today, the system plugs into that. We don't add friction. We remove it.
How is this different from buying a software subscription?
Off-the-shelf software is built for a global average. It doesn't know that WhatsApp is your primary booking channel, that deposits are expected but not enforced, or that your portal has a 13-year backlog sitting in it. Cova builds to your actual operation — not a template that needs you to change how you work to fit it.
What happens if I don't like what's built?
Cova's governance rule is that you see what's being proposed, why it was chosen over the alternatives, and what tradeoff is being accepted — before anything is built. If the direction is wrong, you say so then. Nothing gets built silently and nothing gets delivered as a surprise.
